Privacy Policy

1. Purposes of processing

The Company processes personal data for the purposes below and does not use it for any other purpose. Where a purpose changes, we take the necessary steps, including obtaining separate consent.

• Enquiries: confirming and responding to service enquiries
• Document requests: confirming a request to download material such as the SBS programme rate card, delivering the file and replying to the request
• Contracts: quoting, contracting, delivering the engagement and settlement
• Advertising email: sending rate-card updates and news on advertising products, only to people who have separately consented to receive them
• Service improvement: analysing traffic to improve the website

2. Personal data processed

The Company processes the following items.

• Enquiries: name, company, email address, phone number, message
• Document downloads: email address (required), name and company (optional). Material is delivered against an email address alone, with no account and no password.
• Contracts: company name, business registration number, contact person’s name, phone and email, settlement details
• Collected automatically: IP address, cookies, service usage records, device and browser information

3. Processing and retention periods

The Company processes and retains personal data within the period required by law or consented to by the data subject.

Where legislation prescribes a retention period, the data is kept for that period.

• Enquiry records: 3 years after the purpose is fulfilled
• Document download requests: 3 years after the purpose is fulfilled
• Records of consent to, and withdrawal from, advertising email: until consent is withdrawn or destruction is requested
• Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
• Records on payment and supply of goods: 5 years (same Act)
• Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years (same Act)
• Website access logs: 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)

4. Provision to third parties

The Company processes personal data only within the scope stated in Article 1, and provides it to third parties only where Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act apply, such as with the data subject’s consent or under a specific provision of law.

5. Outsourcing of processing

To deliver the service, the Company outsources the processing tasks below, and the outsourcing contracts stipulate what is required to keep personal data secure.

• Website hosting and infrastructure: for the duration of the engagement
• Email delivery and customer response systems: for the duration of the engagement

6. Destruction of personal data

Where personal data becomes unnecessary (the retention period has passed, the purpose has been fulfilled), the Company destroys it without delay.

Electronic files are deleted by technical means that make recovery impossible; printed data is shredded or incinerated.

7. Rights of data subjects and how to exercise them

A data subject may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of their personal data.

Requests may be made by email (hello@selliagency.com) and the Company will act without delay.

Where correction of an error is requested, the data will not be used or provided until the correction is complete.

8. Security measures

The Company takes the following measures to keep personal data secure.

• Administrative: an internal management plan, minimising and training the staff who handle data
• Technical: access control for the processing system, retention of access logs, encrypted transport (HTTPS)
• Physical: access control for storage locations

9. Cookies and automatic collection

The Company may use cookies to provide a tailored service.

Users may refuse cookies in their browser settings, though some parts of the service may then be harder to use.

10. Advertising email

Under Article 50 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilisation and Information Protection, the Company sends advertising email only to recipients who have consented in advance.

That consent is taken separately from any other consent, such as the one covering a document download, and the box is not ticked by default. Declining it places no restriction whatsoever on downloading material or using the service.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, through the unsubscribe link in any message or by email to hello@selliagency.com. We act without delay and confirm the outcome.

Advertising messages carry "(광고)" at the start of the subject line, and the sender's name, contact details and the means of unsubscribing in the body.

11. Data protection officer

The Company designates the following data protection officer, who is responsible for personal data processing and for handling complaints and remedies related to it.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy applies from its effective date. Where content is added, deleted or corrected under law or policy, we will give notice from seven days before the change takes effect.
